Biography Gunter VAYZENBORN (Weisenborn)
Vayzenborn, Gunter (Weisenborn), (1902-1969), German writer. Born July 10, 1902 in Velbert. He studied medicine and philology at the University of Bonn. In 1928 published an anti-war play "The submarine S-4". In 1931, together with Bertolt Brecht staged a novel M. Gorky's "Mother". His policies are far from novel "The Girl from Fahne" (1935) and "Fury" (1937), as published under the pseudonym drama Noybersha "(1935), brought him success. In 1937 Vayzenborn emigrated to the United States, but soon returned to Germany. During the 2-nd World War, became a member of the Resistance movement, a member of the Red Orchestra. In 1942 Vayzenborn Hitler was arrested by the authorities and sentenced to prison. In 1945, liberated by the Red Army.
