Biography Hans Heinrich Lammers (Lammers)
Lammers, Hans Heinrich (Lammers), (1879-1962), Reich Minister and Chief of the Reich Chancellery. Born May 27, 1879 in Lyublinitse (Upper Silesia). Educated Lawyer. In 1921-33 he served in the Ministry of the Interior, in 1933-45 led the Fuhrer's Reich Chancellery.

He was a member of the inner circle of Hitler's Obersalzberg, where he and his staff have been managing the affairs of the Office. Lammers, Hitler was a consultant on legal issues. In 1937, Lammers, Hitler appointed Reich Minister without portfolio, and in 1939 - Ministerial Advisor on Defense of the Reich. In 1940 he was awarded the rank of SS Obergruppenfiihrer (General).

In 1943, Lammers joined together with Martin Bormann and Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, in the t. n. "Committee of Three" - a specially created body to develop and facilitate the Fuhrer doing business as head of state. Unimaginative bureaucrat, Lammers liked to dive into the technical details of jurisdiction. April 23, 1945, . When GцІring sent a telegram to Hitler about, . that assumes the leadership of the country, . furious Fц?hrer ordered the arrest of not only Hering, . and Lammers, . Considering, . that he gave Goering the idea, . that is still legally competent to Hitler's order of June 29, 1941, . which Goring was declared successor to the Fuhrer in the event of inability to lead the country.,

. In 1949, the trial in Nuremberg, Lammers was charged with the preparation and legal justification for action to exterminate the Jews
. As justification, he claimed that he knew nothing about the results of these activities until such time as they were announced at the Nuremberg Trials. He said: "I knew that Hitler ordered Heydrich gave Goering. This order was called the "Final Solution of the Jewish question". But more about that I do not know ". Lammers court sentenced to 20 years in prison.

But in 1951 reduced the sentence to 10 years, and in 1952 released Lammers. He died in Dц?sseldorf, January 4, 1962.
