Biography BRAMA Otto
Brahma, the OTTO (Brahm, Otto) (1856-1912), German theater critic, director. Real name - Otto Abrahamzon (Abrahamson). Born February 5, 1856 in Hamburg. He studied at the universities of Berlin, Heidelberg, Strasbourg and Jena. From 1879 to 1889 - a theater critic in Berlin, an influential advocate of the works of such contemporary playwrights as O. Ludwig, L. Antsengruber, B. Bjornson, H. Ibsen, an adherent of realism, Ensemble Theater. In 1889 he participated in the creation of a progressive 'scene of the Free', became chairman, a producer and a leading theoretician of the organization, as well as the chief editor of the magazine 'Di Freie Bц?hne'. Heading in 1894, German theater, has expanded its repertoire by contemporary plays, adopted a realistic style of play and Directing.

Stage reliability and himself 'style Brahma' have become synonymous with naturalism. For Brahma was important literary and dramatic framework of the play, rather than an opportunity to demonstrate mastery of stage. Although Bram has never had the place directed, he took part in directing contemporary plays, was the work plans of the theater, directed the staging process.
