Biography Dmitry Donskoy
(1350-1389) - an outstanding Russian commander. Grand Prince of Moscow (from 1359) and Vladimir (from 1362). Military skills obtained in the numerous armed clashes in the internecine struggle. Actively opposed tatarskrgo Mongol rule in Russia. In the battle on the river. Piana (1377), was defeated by the Golden Horde. In the battle on the river. Vozha (1378) defeated and dispersed the Tatar army. Most strategic talent manifested Dmitry Donskoy in the Kulikov Battle (1380), where he distinguished himself as a military organizer and leader of a large army, collected from many of the Russian lands. He used the tactics in the battle helped to smash the enemy.
