Biography Gezekhus Nikolai
Born in 1845. Educated in the Mathematics Department of Physics and Mathematics Faculty of St. Petersburg University. He was a professor at Tomsk State University, since 1889, Mr.. Professor at the St. Petersburg Institute of Technology. His Master's thesis: "Application of an electric current to the study of spheroidal state of liquids" (1876), Doctor: "The elastic effect, and other kindred phenomena" (1882). Then the main work Gezekhus concerned the change of electrical conductivity of selenium under the influence of light on the sound conductivity of the bodies of the refraction and the speed of sound in a loose bodies, the speed of sound in air, on the electrification of touch. They are placed in the Journal of Russian Physico-Chemical Society "," Journal de Physique "," Exner's Repertorium "and other foreign magazines. They printed more lectures ( "Fundamentals of Electricity and magnitizma" and others). Moreover, Gezekhus wrote essays, reviews and popular articles in the "Knowledge", "Engineering Journal and other publications and edits the subdivision of physics in this Glossary.
