Biography Field Xenophon A.
1801 - 67 Born in Irkutsk, before his father's death lived in Kursk, trying to supplement their education, and in his spare time to manage vodka distilleries father, after whose death (1622), together with his brother moved to Moscow. When Nicholas Field began to publish "The Moscow Telegraph, Xenophon Field zealously helped him. Almost all the dirty work of publishing the journal and correspondence lying on it. "The history in general, and the military in particular - he says in his memoirs - has been my passion since childhood, theory and history of art and, on all these subjects I have written and translated for our magazine". After the closure of the Moscow Telegraph "(1834) Field edited" Pictorial Review ", doing well selling books and publishing.
