Biography Antonio Boltraffio Giovanni Antonio (Boltraffio Giovanni Antonio)
(1467-1516) Born in Milan in 1467. Occurred from a noble family, studied with masters of the old Milanese school - Vincenzo Foppa (c.. 1428 - ca. 1515) and Vincenzo Chiverkio (1470-1544), but was critical communication with Leonardo da Vinci. Antonio Boltraffio studied with Leonardo in Milan in 1485, and most of his paintings are marked influence of the great masters, while coloring in pictures of the student brighter and contrasts of light and shadows are sharper. Among his most famous works - the Madonna family Kazio (ca. 1500, Paris, Louvre), Portrait (c.. 1500, London, National Gallery), SW. Varvara (1502, Berlin, Art Gallery) and several paintings depicting the Madonna. Antonio Boltraffio died in Milan June 15, 1516.
