Biography Davis William Morris (Davis William Morris)
(1850-1934) Born in Philadelphia (pc. PA) February 12, 1850. He graduated from Harvard University in 1869 and worked in 1870-1873 in the National Observatory in the city of Cordoba (Argentina). In 1876 he returned to Harvard University, where he held the post of Professor of Geology in 1899-1912. He taught in Berlin (1908-1909) and Paris (1911-1912) Universities. From 1930 to 1934 - a professor of geomorphology at Caltech. Founder of the Association of American Geographers. In 1911 he was elected president of the Geological Society.
