Biography Giovanni Lanfranco (Lanfranco Giovanni)
Born in Parma in 1582, was a pupil of Agostino Carracci Bologna Master. In 1602 he left for Rome with his brother Agostino, Annibale Carracci, who was assisted in the decoration of the Palazzo Farnese. In 1610-1612 Lanfranco again traveled to Parma, here he was impressed dome songs performed by Correggio. In Rome he was decorated with frescoes of the Palazzo Mattei, Kostaguti and Borghese (1624-1625), in these paintings, he portrayed the carefree fun of the gods and nymphs in the architectural frame, with the eaves, supported by caryatids.
