Biography Lavon, Alicia (Alicia Lawhon)
Alicia Lawhon was born in Nayarit, Mexico. She spent her childhood watching her grandmother, a seamstress, who sewed clothes from scraps of fabrics and hand-bound silk yarn. Alicia began to sew herself in Hollywood in the 80 years and over in school, kept a diary, to be sure that she never wore the same thing twice. The first product it had made a pair of trousers.
In 1990, Alicia began working at Ron Herman / Fred Segal Melrose, initially by the seller, then the manager. She began her collection there and became a designer in 1996 . Working with ancient textiles, . used uniforms, . twisted corrugated coarse cotton cloth, . converting part of the marine forms in skirts, . belt of old jeans in practical belt, . She mixed refined experimental design sensibility with the West Coast, . the ratio of rock stars, . She said that she wanted to model the clothes as Neil Young plays guitar, beautiful and rich, but at the same time, with a touch of the desert. This is clothing that you can walk in the woods all day, then at night, just shook off the leaves leaving.
Clothing Alicia has appeared in numerous music videos, films and television shows. She sewed for such stars as Alanis Morissette, Christina Agileyry and Anthony Kiedis, Winona Ryder, Linda Evangelista, Liv Tyler, Mick Jagger, Sting and others, recently - for performances Aerosmita. She has received several awards and was selected to represent the U.S. at the Young Designers Show in Hong Kong.
