ISIDORO (Isidoros)

Isidore; Isidoros, from Peluso, ca. 360 OK. 440 years. n. e., Greek epistolograf. He studied in Alexandria with Synesius of Cyrene, who later became a monk. Greatest epistolograf Christian antiquity: he wrote 3000 messages, of which survived in 2000. They depict the image of religious life at that time. I. saw in them a number of problems of interpretation of the Bible, dogmatic - the controversy with the Arians and Manichees - and ascetical questions.
