Biography LAMPRIDY (Lampridius)
Lampridy; Lampridius, killed after 475 g. n. e., Roman poet and orator, teacher of rhetoric in Burdigalii (sovr. Bordeaux). Consist of friendly relations with Sidonius Apollinaris, who considered him a second Horace, and perhaps Pindar. L. written speech at the event, rhetorical studies, epigrams and verses in imitation of Virgil and Horace. Artworks L. not preserved.
