. Al Di Meola made a dual career: brilliant, incendiary fusion electric guitar and the incomparable master of acoustic guitar, passionately seeking to explore the music world's cultural traditions . His sparkling, filigree guitar passages in fusion - a group of Chick Corea 'Return to Forever' began to sound business card electronic jazz 70-ies.
. Al DiMeola was born in New Jersey in 1954 and began playing guitar at eight years old, taking lessons from local jazz guitarist Bob Esleniana (Bob Aslanian) . His interests ranged from adolescence Italian classical music, which he heard at home, to jazz and flamenco. Expanding their aesthetic tastes to music of various world cultures he attributed Koriellu Larry (Larry Coryell).

Since 1971, Di Meola studies at Berklee College of Music, but soon left school to play with Barry Miles, and in 1974, suddenly appears on stage, replacing Billy Connors in the 'Return to Forever' Chick Corea . Thus began their two-year collaboration, which made known DiMeola, and as a result of which there are three truly immortal album: 'Where Have I Known You Before', 'No Mystery' and 'Romantic Warrior'.
In fact, he started moving up without delay, immediately becoming an influential fusion guitarist. He is sometimes criticized for excessive passion for technique, no sentence had emotions and feelings in the game, but this omission, he soon overcame and over the years successfully developed. When the band broke up, guitarist started his own projects, experimenting with the Fairlight Computer and Synclavier.
In 1982-83 i.i. he teamed up with John McLaughlin and Paco de Lucia in an acoustic trio, playing in the spirit of flamenco, for recording 2 albums and several tours. Another trio project represented Saysse Philippe (Philippe Saisse) (marimba) and Andy Narelle (Andy Narel) (drums). In 1985 he released an album 'Cielo E Terra' with percussionist AITD Moreira (Airto Moreira), won high awards.
. DiMeola toured with the project 'ц?he Rite of Strings' in 1995 (trio with Jean Luc Ponty and Stanley Clarke), was recorded as a leader since 1976 in the studios of Columbia, Manhattan and Tomato.
