Albert Leo Schlageter (Schlageter)

Schlageter (Schlageter) Albert Leo (12.8.1894, SchцІnau - 26.5.1923), one of the official Nazi heroes. Participant 1 WWI. In 1919 joined the Volunteer Corps in the Ruhr. He was arrested by French occupation authorities on charges of sabotage and espionage, sentenced to death. Subsequently, the Nazi propaganda Schlageter elevated to the rank of national hero, a fighter against foreign invaders. Schlageter were devoted to poems, songs, plays (in t.ch. play D. Jost), his name was of a squadron of the Luftwaffe, etc.
