Biography BABENKO Hector
Hector Babenko was born in Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina. From 1964 to 1968. He lived in Europe. He traveled a lot and changed a lot of work (malaria, washer, etc.). In 1969 he went to Brazil and since then has lived in Sao Paulo. In 1975. He shoots his first film "King of the night" and his second film "Lucio Flavio," based on real facts, has become one of the most successful Brazilian movie (it looked 5.4 million. person). In 1981. he film "Pishot: the law of the weakest, of abandoned children in Brazil. Brilliant game, Fernando Ramos, who in 1981. during the shooting was 10 years (his career was tragically cut short: he was killed by police in 1987) occurs in the suburbs of Sao Paulo. The film was a huge international success and received many awards. He was named best foreign film of Los Angeles' and New York Critics Association (1981). In the late 80's "Pishot was named the magazine" American film "as one of the best films of the decade.
