Bern Dibner (Dibner Bern) (18 August 1897, Lisyanka, Ukraine - January 6 1988, Wilton, pc. Connecticut), American engineer and historian of science.
Dibner was born in Ukraine, but has since 1904 lived in the U.S..
In 1921, he graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute (now Polytechnic University) in New York City. In 1923-25 he worked in the electric company, where he focused on issues of electrification of Cuba.
In 1924 he founded "Bernd Engineering" (Burndy Engineering Company), now "Bernd Corporation that produced them invented crimp contacts. Many years of his life were associated with this company. Only in 1972, Dibner resigned.

He founded two of the largest book collection - Dibnerovskuyu library history of science and technology (1975), . 10 thousand volumes which are now kept at the National Museum of American History at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC, . and the Library, Bernd (1935), . 40 thousand volumes of which are located in Norfolk in Connecticut, .
In 1972 the University named Brandis in Uolteme (Massachusetts) was founded Dibnerovsky Institute of History of Science and Technology.
