Biography David Arquette
David Arquette is a famous actor. He was born on September 8, 1971, in Winchester, Virginia. He hails from a family of entertainers. Growing up in California, David and his family lived on a commune, eventually moving to Los Angeles so that sister, Rosanna could pursue her career in acting.
David's interest in acting was first piqued when he was offered money to appear in a school play. After discovering that there would not really be monetary compensation for the play and this was only a prank from his classmates, David's reaction was of such stunned disappointment that his teacher handed him a check. (After his career in acting took off, David returned to the school to pay back his teacher.)
David first appeared on the small screen in 1989, in a television adaptation of the cult-classic film The Outsiders (1983). His film debut came in 1992, when he starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which was eventually turned into a popular television series in the late 90s. He subsequently starred in Where the Day Takes You, and Airheads in 1994, but gained an even higher profile when he starred as "Dwight 'Dewey' Riley" in Wes Craven's Scream in 1996, alongside Drew Barrymore, Neve Campbell, and Courteney Cox. He also starred in Scream 2 in 1997 and Scream 3 in 2000. In 1999, Arquette starred in five films, including the Drew Barrymore romantic comedy Never Been Kissed, Muppets From Space, Ravenous, The Hughleys, and The Runner. In 2002, Arquette starred in Eight Legged Freaks. The film was originally titled "Arac Attack" until Arquette screamed out the improvised title on-set, which the director and producers preferred over the original.
In addition to acting, Arquette has also been involved with professional wrestling. In 2000 he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship in an effort to promote his wrestling film Ready to Rumble.
In 1999, Arquette married Scream trilogy co-star, Courteney Cox. In 2004, the couple welcomed the birth of daughter, Coco Riley, whose godmother is Courteney's Friends co-star, Jennifer Aniston.
In 2004, David and Courteney formed Los Angeles-based production company, Coquette Productions. They are also both currently executive producers for the TBS series, Daisy Does America, and also served as executive producers for Mix it Up in 2003, a home-make over series for the Women's Entertainment channel. The show attempted to advise people moving in together on how to reconcile their different decoration tastes.
The couple - who have been married for 11 years - announced on 12.10.10 that they had agreed to a trial separation several months ago. The reason they parted ways was because Courteney became tired of being a "mother" to him.
David: "Let me get to the story. I`ve been going to therapy. I`m trying to grow up. I`m trying to be true to myself and figure out my world, as is she.
"We`re best friends. She is the greatest woman I`ve ever met. As soon as I met her I knew. She`s the greatest woman in the whole f***ing world. She tries to take on everyone`s problems, which is why she doesn`t want to mother to me anymore."
The pair - who have a six-year-old daughter Coco together - have vowed to remain "best friends" and responsible parents to their little girl.
It is believed Courteney and David have already agreed to a joint custody deal to share parental rights of Coco.
