Yekaterina Viktorovna Gordon (Katya Gordon, born October 19, 1980) is a Russian TV- and radio presenter, journalist, writer, public figure frontwoman of the band BlondRock. She was born in Moscow, had at first the surname Prokofyeva, then - Podlipchuk - after her stepfather.
In 2000 Katya married Alexander Gordon, but divorced 5 years later. She studied at the humanitarian gymnasium No.1507 and economical school for upperclassmen in the International university. In 2002 she graduated from Moscow State V. I. Lenin Pedagogical Institute, where she studied at the faculty of 'Social psychology'. Afterwards she entered Higher courses of script writers and directors of P.E.Todorkovsky. Her diploma short film was awarded grand-prix of the international festival 'New Cinema, 21st century'. She won the award 'Young people of the year 2008', organized by the newspaper 'Aktsiya'. From May 31, 2010 she's been taking part in acts of 'Strategiya 31', devoted to freedom of meetings.
She worked as a presenter of various radio and TV-programs. She is a columnist of 'Moskovsky Komsomolets' newspaper, has her own blog. She shot some musical and advertising videos, documentaries, wrote scenarios, plays, books. From 2006 she has organized the movement 'Not Needed Breed', promoting people to have nonpedigreed dogs as pets. In 2009 she organized the musical pop-rock-band BlondRock. They released their debut album in October 2010, named 'Lyubov I Svoboda' ('Love & Freedom'), Katya Gordon wrote the music and lyrics.
