Princes William and Harry remembered the last conversation with Princess Diana
Prince William and Prince Harry talked about his regret over the shortness of their last phone call with his mother, Princess Diana, just hours before her death in 1997 in a car crash in Paris.
In a new documentary, released on Monday ITV in the UK and HBO in the US, Prince Harry remembers how quickly he got off the phone with her mother. The two brothers were at Balmoral castle in Scotland when Diana got a call from Paris. "I can't remember everything I said, but all I know, sorry about that will remain for a lifetime, due to the short phone call," said Harry ITV.
"If I knew what was going to happen, I wouldn't be so quick,' said the Duke of Cambridge. "This phone call in my mind will remain forever." Looking through an old photo album during a documentary, princes remember some of the most joyous moments of his childhood. Prince Harry said that Diana was "a child to the end."
The brothers told documentary filmmakers that their mother made them feel loved. "We felt, you know, incredible love, Harry and I ... and I am very grateful that this love can still be felt," said Prince William.
