Kevin Costner prays he will live long enough
The 55-year-old actor took a break from making movies to look after Cayden, three, Hayes, two, and Grace, eight months, his kids with second wife Christina Baumgartner, and while he is delighting in their progress, he worries he won`t be around to teach them all their life lessons.
He said: "They`re really good children and I see them making steps every day. The one thing I pray for in life is not success, but being able to raise my children and that nothing happens to me in the next 20 years.
"I want it to be me who tells them about the secrets, the beauty, the treachery and everything that is in life. I don`t want them to learn from someone else."
Kevin - who also has 26-year-old Annie, 24-year-old Lily and Joe, 22, with ex-wife Cindy Silva, as well as son Liam, 14, from a brief romance with Bridget Rooney - feels "lucky" in his life and thinks he has been given more than he needs.
He explained: "I`ve had enormous good luck. I have too much. I have the health of my children, I`ve had worldwide fame I have a lot.
"When I travel the world, I see that people have very little and I don`t need everything I have."
