8000 cubic meters of snow to save World Cup ski races
Second stage of World Cup ski race, planned on November 19 and 20 in Norwegian Beitshtolen, was almost ruined because of warm weather and lack of snow.
International federation of skiing decided to hold competitions on term only after 200 lorries have brought about 8000 cubic meters of natural snow from mountain pass to ski stadium.
Manager of Russian national team Yuri Chakovsky informed that there was enough snow to form satisfactory ski-tracks 3.3 kilometers long.
