Biography Charles Percy Snow (Snow Charles Percy)
(1905-1980)
Born October 15, 1905 in Leicester. He studied at the University College of Leicester University and in 1930 received his Ph.D. in Physics from Cambridge. During the Second World War, led the department of scientific and technical personnel in the Ministry of Labor. In 1964, Snow was granted a peerage in the same year he became parliamentary secretary to the Ministry of Technology.
The most famous Snow brought the cycle of novels Strangers and Brothers (Strangers and Brothers), dedicated to the heroes of the quest to realize their personal and intellectual opportunities in political, social, and scientific upheavals 20 in. The series consists of eleven novels: Strangers and Brothers (1940), . Light and darkness (The Light and the Dark, . 1947), . Time to hope (Time of Hope, . 1949), . Mentors (Masters, . 1951), . . Peru Snowe also belong to several pieces, . Two earlier novel - a detective Death under sail (Death Under Sail, . 1932) and Searching (The Search, . 1934) - and the novels Disgruntled (Malcontents, . 1972), . Wisdom Keepers (In Their Wisdom, . 1974) and Painting (A Coat of Varnish, . 1978),

. Convinced that the scientists and writers have much to teach each other literature he assigns a major role in human adaptation to a rapidly changing world.

Snow died in London on 1 July 1980.
