Russia pretends to conduct the world fencing championship
A request of Saint Petersburg was approved on the conference of bureau of executive committee FFR and it is already directed to Lausanne, HQ of International federation of fencing.
Bulgarian city Plovdiv will be a competitor of the city on Neva. The choice will be made on 12 November in Quatar.
"Saint Petersburg nominated himself on the world championship in 2005 with Germans and Italians. By the mutual agreement we gave a place to Germans and for next championship we gave a place to Italians." - said Bychkov. "But we enlisted their support on the World Championship 2007".
