World Championship-2006: Slovakia - Russia 0:0. Break
Russian football team plays a conclusive match of World Championship-2006 selection tournament against Slovakia in Bratislava.
Only victory will give Russians chance to continue struggle for tickets to German World Championship. Match started on 22:30 by Moscow time.
Slovakian and Russian teams have 22 points which is by 5 points less than group winner Portugal has. But Slovakian team has better difference of realized and missed goals. Therefore, host team will pleased with draw.
Russians started the game aggressively and during first minutes Anukov and Izmailov attacked Chotofalski`s gates. Host team gave up attempts to control center of field but dangerously counterattacked Russians taking advantage of holes in defense.
Guests were masters of territory but not of initiative at first. It was evident that they were nervous. By the end of first 30 minutes game became more balanced and even calmed down. Russians got tired and attacked unwillingly. It seems like rival could investigate tactics of Semin`s team.
