Kalnins Edouard

1904 - 1988, Riga. He studied at the art studio in Tomsk (1914-18) and at the Latvian Academy of Art in Riga (1922-32). Exhibitions since 1927. Was a member of the Green Raven "(1929-40)" Sadarbs "(1930-39). In 1935-37 traveled to Italy (academic award for his film "rafter"). He painted landscapes, mostly seascapes, pictures on the work of Latvian fishermen. After 1945 it took an active part in the formation of the Latvian national art. Works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; SRM, St. Petersburg State Art Museum of Latvia, Riga, Lvov Picture Gallery, etc.. meetings.
