Biography Arseniev Ilya
(1820 - 87). Father's house A. met not only representatives of the Moscow nobility, but also the outstanding literary figures - Dmitrieva, Pushkin, Lermontov and others. His education at one time led Nadezhdin. Education And. received at Moscow University, he served in the Office of the Moscow governor-general. At the end of 1850 A. left the service and became a journalist. His articles, mostly on equity issues, appeared in the "Northern Bee". At the beginning of the Polish uprising governor Earl Lambert offered him a ride to Warsaw and from there to write correspondence, but Russian newspapers did not take them, and they were printed only in subsidized Brussels the newspapers "Le Nord" and "L'independance Belge". In 1864, a. returned to St. Petersburg and a short time worked in semi-official newspaper "North Mail". Soon, he began publishing business and founded the "St. Petersburg Leaf" and "Petersburg Gazette. At the end of 1860 due to a number of scandals on the basis of blackmail, money misunderstandings with the staff and t. forth, not once came to trial, a. had to leave St. Petersburg and moved to Moscow. Subsequently, he returned to St. Petersburg, but the press have not taken part. In 1886, in "Historical Gazette posted excerpts from his memoirs.
