Biography Kalmykov Alexandra Mikhailovna
Born in 1849. Since 1869. Kalmykov, marrying DA. Kalmykov, who died in the rank of senator Civil Cassation Department, is dedicated to social activities, first in Simferopol, Kharkov and then to St. Petersburg. In Kharkov Kalmykova joined the circle, grouped around "the southern edge," which ran several articles. Feuilletons Kalmykova on the Jewish question, which were printed in the Southern Province, passed the two editions ( "The Jewish question in Russia", 1881 and 1882). In Kharkov same Kalmykova took an active part in the courses created H.D. Alchevsk women's Sunday school and for the book "What to read people," the department of geography and history. Since moving to St. Petersburg (1885) Kalmykova undertook teaching in Sunday school Farforovskaja guardianship of Shlisselburgsky tract, and in 1889. opened a store popular editions of the pre-1902. Published in 1890. catalog warehouse Kalmykova was a valuable tool for drawing up public libraries. Kalmykov uttered it also represents two series of inexpensive books for the people, under the title "The Life Before and Now" and "forces of nature and human labor."
