Six years later, when Vazquez returned to Alcalö?, Suarez, again having experienced bouts of illness, asked for his translation of Salamanca and left Alcala (1593). Salamanca Suarez revised and supplemented its comments to the sum of theology and worked on his famous work Metaphysical disputatsii (Disputationes metaphysicae).

Suarez resumed the teaching of theology in 1597 at University of Coimbra in Portugal, and stayed there until 1615, when a teacher left.
