Biography REYTSH Hannah (Reitsch)
Reytsh, Hannah (Reitsch), (1912-1979), widely known in the Third Reich pilot instructor. Born in Hirschberg, Silesia (now Zielona Gora, Poland) in the family ophthalmologist. Going to work by air doctor, but became a professional pilot, setting a number of European records. In 1937, General Ernst Udet appointed her as the instructor pilot the Luftwaffe. During the 2-nd World War Reytsh was the only woman awarded the Iron Cross II and I degree. 26-29 April 1945 Reytsh accompanied by General Robert von Graham during his visit to fyurerbunkera in Berlin. As an ardent supporter of Nazism, she asked Hitler to let her stay in Berlin, surrounded by to share with their fate Fuhrer of the Reich. However, Hitler ordered her to leave the city together with the newly appointed commander of the Luftwaffe von Graham.
