Biography TATARINOV Alexander
Alexander Tatarinov was born in 1817 (exact date unknown). Graduated 1 st Penza school in 1839 and St. Petersburg Medical-Surgical Academy.

In 1840 he left for Beijing in the status of the plenipotentiary representative of Russia in China. As a doctor of Russian spiritual mission stayed there until 1850.

Well owning the Chinese language, he studied Chinese medicine. They collected a collection of rare Chinese items, exclusive of wealth. Compiled an atlas of Chinese medicinal plants with their own figures, which was not simply the contours of the plant, and detailed images from the roots, flowers and fruits. After the publication of the results of his research was awarded the exam without a medical degree.

In 1850, Tatarinov returned to St. Petersburg and was enrolled in the dragoman of the Asian Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Were published in Proceedings of the Department and the St. Petersburg Society of Russian Physicians. Then he was sent to China.

He was accompanied to Kul'dzha E. P. Kovalevsky, who had gone there to negotiate the opening there of Russian trade. At the end of this mission in 1851, Tatarinov was appointed the first Russian consul in Chuguchak.

Because disturbances occurred there exiles who toppled the Russian consulate, he was forced to flee to the nearest border post Bakhty. While negotiations were held, Tatarinova appointed to accompany the count Putiatina, who had gone intercede on assignment China Russia the northern shore of the Amur. He took an active part in the drafting of the Treaty with the Chinese government, it was edited by and most Chinese text of the treatise.

After the conclusion of the Beijing contract, he was reckoned to Ignatiev, but soon retired with the rank of State Councilor and settled in Penza. He served as a magistrate and member of Penza city council, was a member of the board of trustees of the local hospitals.

Has passed away Sept. 25, 1886.

In 1995, the administration of Penza classical gymnasium N 1 established a prize AA. Tatarinov in the natural sciences school students for the year.
