Born December 15, 1957 in g. Perm.
. He graduated from the School of the young journalist (SHYUZH) at MSU.
. In 1976 began working courier in the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda", entered the Faculty of Journalism, then serving in the army.
. In 1979 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism.
. In 1978 - 79 was a correspondent of the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets.
. From 1979 to 1987 - an intern, then a correspondent of the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda"
. Was the last editor ( "Captain"), the youth section "KP" "Scarlet sails". A columnist of the newspaper "Izvestia".
From 1987 to 1991 - a correspondent, a columnist for the magazine Ogonyok. He was a member of the editorial board.
. In 1991 - 95 - deputy chief editor, editor of morality and letters magazine Ogonyok.
. From August 1995 to August 1996 - General Director of JSC Ogonyok.
