Biography Bernstein, Leopold Adol'fovich
Born in 1859, Mr.. in Riga, studied first professor of sculpture at the DI. Jensen, then went to drawing school community to promote the Arts in St. Petersburg. and classes of the Imperial Academy of Arts. Since 1885. lives in Paris and Head of Art at the museum part of Grevena. The fame he created a bust-portraits of literature, science and art: in Russia - Pushkin (Foyer Aleksandrinsky Theater in St. Petersburg.) Fonvizin, Dostoevsky, Goncharov, M.E. Saltykov, MN. Katkov, A.G. Rubinstein (in the St. Petersburg Conservatory), and others, in France - Flaubert, Renan, Zola, Koppe, Ambroise Thomas, Halevi, and others. Artworks Bernshtama are in the museum of Alexander III.
