Biography Maximov Alexander Yakovlevich
(1851 - 1896). After graduating from the Marine Corps, made several voyages round the world, as described in published in 1875. book: "Around the World". In 1870, living in the Far East, published a series of short stories, mainly from the life of the Ussuri region, in the "outlook", "Cornfield" and other publications. In 1887, Mr.. went 1-st volume collection of ethnographic-fictional stories and essays Maksimova entitled: "In the Far East" (Vol. II, St. Petersburg, 1895). In the last years of his life Maksimova, under the pseudonym Goremykin, wrote in The New Times of correspondence from the Far East and articles on Marine case. Maksimova journalistic articles published in 1894. under the title: "Our problem in the Pacific" (4 th edition, St. Petersburg, 1901). Maximov written several novels: "Secret of the princess, a gypsy" (ib., 1892), "The Mysterious Fisherman" (ib., 1894), "Happiness is changed" (ib., 1895), "Without a rudder, a compass and wind" (ib ., 1902) and other. In 1898 - 1902 years came "complete works" Maximova in 10 volumes - See. "Historical Journal" (1896, Book XI).
