Biography McIver, Robert Morrison (MacIver Robert Morrison)
(1882-1970) Born April 17, 1882 in Stornoway on o.Lyuis (Scotland). He graduated from Oxford and Edinburgh universities. In 1907-1915 he lectured on political science and sociology at the University of Aberdeen, in 1915-1927 he taught political science at the University of Toronto (Canada), where in 1922 headed the Department of Political Science. In 1927-1950 he taught sociology at Barnard College and Columbia University. In 1964-1966 was president and honorary rector of the New School for Social Research in New York.
