Biography TESLA, Nikola (Tesla Nikola)
(1856-1943) Born July 10, 1856 in Smilyane (Croatia). He graduated from the Polytechnic Institute in Graz (1878) and Prague University (1880). Worked as an engineer in Budapest and Paris. In 1884 arrived in New York, organized the laboratory and soon invented a two-phase AC generator. Tesla has developed several designs of polyphase generators, motors and transformers, and transmission and distribution system of polyphase currents. Later this system was used for hydroelectric power of Niagara Falls. In 1888, Tesla discovered the phenomenon of the rotating magnetic field, on which built power generators and ultra-high frequency. In 1891 he designed a resonant transformer (Tesla transformer), which yields high frequency voltage with an amplitude of up to 106 V, and first pointed to the physiological effects of high frequency currents. Investigated the possibility of wireless transmission of signals and power over long distances, in 1899 publicly demonstrated lamps and engines running on high-frequency current without wires. Has constructed a radio station in Colorado and the radio antenna on Long Island. Tesla's name is called a unit of measurement of magnetic flux density (magnetic induction). Among the academic awards - medals E. Kressiana, Dzh.Skotta, T. Edison. Tesla died in New York on January 7, 1943.

Yes, Nikola Tesla is not exactly lived in his time ... Although who knows what would have happened if in our time has appeared a scientist ... Abramovich, it would rot ... Pity ((( |
