Biography Agi Petr Petrovich
(Pierre Louis Agie or Agis), (1752 - 1828). Came to Russia in 1781 modeled a bust of Catherine II (in P.A. Kochubey, in St. Petersburg.). Serving in the Academy of Fine Arts, taught the smelting and chased skills; received the title of academician, gilt work performed in the Peterhof Palace in 1803. At one time, A. was very well known as a chaser and bronze. They performed, among other things, the frame on the bas-relief portrait of Metropolitan Gabriel of the Alexander Nevsky Monastery, decorations for the "monument to the soldiers in the Georgian Arakcheyev Cathedral (1816 - 18), bronze and silver ornaments for the Kazan Cathedral and pr. - See. "Old Years" (July - September 1908).
