Biography PISCHALKIN Andrey
1817 - 1892 studied at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Professor NI. Utkin, and having received in 1836, Mr.. small gold medal for a painting to printmaking. Dolci "praying Virgin", was released from the academy with a rank no class artist. In 1839, Mr.. for engraving by Raphael's Madonna with the Beardless Joseph (located in the Imperial Hermitage) was awarded a large gold medal and soon after went to Rome as a pensioner of the Academy. He stayed in that city until 1864, engaged in the execution of large engravings of "The Capture of Mary into heaven" with the altarpiece of the K. Bryullov in the Kazan Cathedral and by taking other work, but throwing them at the very beginning. During the appointed printmaking with Bryullov Academy awarded him in 1855, an academician, and in 1862, for the same product, recognized by Professor. On his return to St. Petersburg, . artist, . betrayed in her youth a brilliant and promising to make a wonderful master, . completely down: no more touching up the tool and the copper plates and existed until the end of his life only a modest pension, . granted by him to the Emperor, .
