Marie Anne Charlotte de Corday d'Armon (1768-1793) - French noblewoman, a granddaughter of the poet and playwright Pierre Corneille. Shared the views of the Girondins, Marat considered the main culprit escalating civil war. Determined to save his own life at the expense of France, entered the house to Marat and stabbed him with a dagger. Guillotined July 17, 1793
