Biography Pietro Cavallini (Cavallini Pietro)
(ca. 1250-1330) Born in Rome, ca. 1250. Of the many works attributed to him have reached us only in the apse mosaic of the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere in Rome and much of the public in the early 20 in. fresco compositions Judgment in the Roman church of Santa Cecilia in Trastevere (ca. 1293); color of this fresco was preserved in almost pristine. In the mosaics of the church of Santa Maria in Trastevere (ca. 1291) brought the Virgin Mary with the Baby on the throne, and five scenes from her life. As documentary evidence, in 1308 Cavallini worked in Naples, where most of the frescoes in the church of Santa Maria Donna Regina performed in close to him style. Cavallini died in 1330.
