Born in the town of Cortona in Tuscany November 1, 1596, about 1612 came to Rome, where he studied painting at the Florentine artist Andrea Dresser and Baccio Charpi. Illyuzionistichesky, bright and decorative style of painting by Pietro da Cortona is one of the vertices of the Roman Baroque art. His most famous works is the ceiling of the Palazzo Barberini, Rome.
